Ramsey Dental Implants
Learn about your dental implant options
Local residents have been coming to Dr. Ghorashi for Ramsey dental implant treatment for over a decade. If you find that missing teeth cause difficulty when eating or hesitate to smile because you’re embarrassed by visible missing teeth, we can help. While missing teeth can cause you to lose confidence in your natural smile, it can also lead to various health issues. These can include jaw pain, jaw bone deterioration, uneven pressure when biting and chewing, and additional buildup of plaque. However, proper dental implants can correct these issues before they cause additional wear and tear on the mouth. Explore your dental implant options below.
About the Implant Procedure
Many people put off getting implants due to fear of time, cost, and pain. However, with our modern dental technology, we have made the implant process much easier.
Initially, Dr. Ghorashi will evaluate your overall oral health and determine your eligibility for implants. If suitable, the dental implant is surgically placed into the jawbone under local anesthesia. Over a healing period of several months, the implant integrates with the bone through a process called osseointegration, ensuring stability and durability.
Once the implant has fused with the bone, an abutment is attached to the implant, acting as a connector between the implant and the final dental restoration. Finally, a custom-made crown, bridge, or denture is securely placed onto the abutment, completing the restoration and providing a natural-looking and functional replacement tooth. Throughout the treatment process, our patients can expect personalized care, periodic check-ups, and follow-up appointments to ensure the success of their dental implant and achieve long-lasting results.
Benefits of an Implant
Implants come with a variety of long-term benefits, including:
Restored Jaw Health and Structure: When teeth are missing, the existing teeth must work harder to compensate, which can cause rapid or expanding jaw bone deterioration and pain. However, by placing implants, you can even out jaw pressure and slow down future deterioration.
Confidence and Aesthetics: With missing teeth, many people often experience embarrassment or lack of confidence when showing their natural smile. Implants can be created to match the color, size, and shape of existing teeth, making them blend in seamlessly with your existing teeth to create renewed confidence in your smile.
Renewed Function: Uneven or missing teeth can cause excessive pressure to certain places in your mouth. This can lead to uneven pressure when biting and chewing, causing you to miss out on your favorite foods. By placing implants, you can restore the full biting and chewing capacity of your mouth.
Your Implant Options
When placing implants, there are a variety of different options depending on your needs:
Single Dental Implants
A single dental implant provides a significant benefit by offering a permanent and natural-looking solution for replacing a missing tooth. It restores functionality, enhances oral health, and improves aesthetics. With a strong foundation and stability, a single dental implant seamlessly blends with surrounding teeth, allowing our patients to regain their confidence and enjoy a complete smile.
Our office can place implants and manage their upkeep, as well as restore any pre-existing implants you may have had prior to coming to us.
Implant-Retained Dentures
Implant-retained dentures provide a secure and stable alternative to traditional removable dentures. By anchoring the denture to dental implants, patients experience improved comfort, enhanced biting and chewing capabilities, and increased confidence.
The denture “snaps” onto the dental implants, preventing slippage or movement and eliminating the need for adhesives. Implant-retained dentures offer a fixed solution, ensuring a more natural feel and appearance. Patients can enjoy a restored smile and improved quality of life with implant-retained dentures.
All-on-4 Implants
All-On-4 implant-retained dentures are a revolutionary solution for those with missing teeth. Using just four implants, a full arch of teeth can be securely attached, providing a natural and comfortable fit. This approach offers improved stability, function, and appearance while also reducing the need for bone grafting and the cost of traditional implant solutions.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting is an essential aspect of dental implant treatment. It involves adding bone material to the jawbone, creating a strong and stable foundation for the implant to fuse with. Dental implants may not integrate correctly without adequate bone density and volume, leading to implant failure. Bone grafting can improve implant success rates, improve aesthetic outcomes, and increase long-term functionality.
Sinus Lifts
Sinus lifts play a crucial role in dental implant placement, particularly for patients with insufficient bone height in the upper jaw. This procedure involves lifting the sinus membrane and adding bone graft material to create a solid foundation for dental implants. By increasing bone volume, sinus lifts enable successful implant placement in previously unsuitable areas.
This advanced technique allows patients with bone loss in the posterior maxilla to benefit from dental implants, restoring their ability to chew, speak, and regain a confident smile.
