Ramsey Implant Dentistry
What are Dental Implants?
Implants are artificial titanium roots that are placed into the jaw where there used to be a tooth. Titanium is frequently used in surgical procedures like joint replacements, and it encourages new bone to grow around it, which stabilizes it in the mouth. Once your jaw has accepted the artificial root, a restoration is placed.
Dr. Ghorashi Provides Start-to-Finish Dental Implant Therapy
A lot of dentists offer dental implants, but very few of them provide the entire service right in their own offices. Dr. Ghorashi is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists. That means he has the extensive skill and experience to surgically place dental implants as well as restore them. Your entire treatment is performed right here at Valley Dental Group, so you never a need to go anywhere else.
Types of Dental Implant Restorations
Our patients may choose to replace their teeth with one of the following types of dental implant restorations:
- Full porcelain crowns for individual teeth
- Multiple-tooth dental bridges
- Full mouth implant-retained dentures
The restoration you choose will depend on the number of teeth you are missing. Porcelain crowns are placed right on top of the implant root, while bridges are supported by two implants. Full mouth, implant-retained dentures are sometimes referred to as “All on 4” dentures, which anchor a permanent denture on as few as 4 implant roots. Implant retained dentures are smaller and more comfortable and provide patients with security and flexibility.
The Benefits of Dental Implants
If you choose dental implants, you will benefit from:
- Independently supported tooth replacements (no altering healthy teeth to support a bridge)
- Healthier, stronger bone
- No need for removable appliances
- Permanent tooth replacement that looks, feels, and is just as easy to care for as a natural tooth.
