Comprehensive Exams
We perform a comprehensive examination on all new patients. Dr. Ghorashi uses your first visit as a baseline reading for future appointments. He’ll provide disease and oral cancer screening, dental evaluation, and periodontal exam. You and Dr. Ghorashi discuss all of your personal concerns and smile goals to determine what types of treatments may be necessary.

Oral Cancer Screenings
With our advanced oral cancer screening, we can detect abnormal tissues and malignancies early. Oral cancer risks include tobacco, alcohol, sun exposure, and even certain types of viruses. If we think we see precancerous tissue during the preliminary screening, we will perform a secondary screening using advanced VELscope technology.
Digital and Panoramic Radiographs
Low radiation digital x-rays limit the time you spend in the treatment chair, because the images are captured instantly. You get to see these high-resolution images on the screen in each of our treatment rooms, and we’ll discuss them with you.
Intraoral Cameras
Seeing your teeth for yourself allows us to communicate more clearly and effectively about your plan of treatment. With a pen-sized, intraoral camera, we display the images on our in-room monitors so we can look at and talk to you about your oral health in real time.
Hygiene Care
During preventive care appointments, patients receive a gentle cleaning with ultrasonic technology. We recommend that most people have a preventive cleanings every six months. We screen for gum disease, tooth decay, bone loss, and oral cancer at each visit.
Periodontal Therapy
Active gum disease may cause tooth loss as well as interfere with systemic health concerns. If we identify any areas of periodontal disease, we offer non-surgical as well as surgical therapy techniques to prevent future bone and tooth loss.
Fluoride Treatments
All children receive a fluoride application during every preventive care appointment. We also offer fluoride treatments to our adult patients, as fluoride is an effective way to prevent tooth sensitivity and future cavities.
Mouthguards
Custom fitted mouthguards are important in the prevention of jaw clenching and grinding. In addition to muscle pain in your face, jaws, and neck, folks who clench and grind may wear down their teeth or damage existing restorations.
iTero Dental Scanner
By investing in state-of-the-art technology, we’re able to provide you, our Ramsey dental patients, with minimally invasive therapies that maximize the current health of your smiles. Our iTero digital dental scanner allows us to make virtual impressions of your teeth, which gives us the twin benefit of quicker appointments and higher diagnostic accuracy We use the iTero images to create custom-milled treatments like porcelain crowns, bridges, or even to improve your orthodontic care.
Laser Dentistry
Dr. Ghorashi also implements Microlaser dentistry, which provides patients with gentle dental care, quick recovery time, and access to minimally invasive techniques when it comes to traditional services. Laser dentistry is used for a wide range of treatments like gum recontouring, crown lengthening, and even cold sore treatment.
